Another Friday Round-Up for you:
Do you need a little slow cooker/crock pot inspiration? Here’s a round-up of 38 Healthy Slow Cooker Recipes via FitFluential. I’m excited that my Black Eyed Pea Crock Pot Soup is featured on the list. (P.S. Have you joined FitFluential?)
More food to share…I think peanut butter should be a food group. Air-popped popcorn is a favorite snack of mine. And I enjoy oatmeal a few times a week. Combine popcorn, peanut butter, oats, and peanuts and you’ve got Smart Balance® Butter Popcorn Nuggets.
This new product is sold in a 15-oz bag and will be sold at select Costco stores in the Midwest starting this month! Usually I share new snacks…not this one! I’ve been making this bag stretch for the last week by just having a couple of bites a day. I can’t wait to buy this at Costco. It’s a great combo of sweet, salty, crunchy, and filling, and is a perfect snack anytime of day! (Serving size=1oz. 130 calories, 6g fat, 2g fiber, 3g protein, 8g sugar.)
Here’s a list of America’s 50 Most Powerful People in Food for 2014 (via The Daily Meal).
Another foodie you’ll start hearing more about in 2014 is Doug Rauch. The former President of Trader Joe’s has a new business idea. He’s going to sell food that’s past its “sell-by date”. Interesting idea!
And finally, have you checked out New Year New Gear? There’s still time to sign up!
Do you have a favorite slow cooker recipe to share? Do you want to try the Peanut Butter Popcorn Nuggets? What do you think about Doug Rauch’s idea?
